University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, Department of Forest Resources, Saint Paul, MN
Research fellow, 2014-present
- Lead research in urban tree response to construction, climate events, and site characteristics using tree rings; analyze data using mixed-effects models, regression, and time series analysis
- Investigate survival and growth of bare root trees held in community gravel beds then planted in urban sites through field measurements and volumetric analysis
- Assist in study design to determine the decomposition rate of burlap used in balled & burlapped tree stock
- Led research in urban tree biometrics, modeling crown and trunk flare diameters for Minnesota street trees; developed predictive models using regression techniques for tree morphological characteristics
